Iranian actress, daughter in ‘The Enigma of the Shah’

Daughter of household name Iranian actress, Gohar Kheirandish, follows in her mother’s footsteps on small and big screens.

Azadeh Esmaeilkhani who played alongside her mother in ifilm series ‘The Enigma of the Shah’ appeared in new movie titled ‘Shahrbanou’.

Maryam Bahrololoumi has taken on the project that stopped due to the coronavirus outbreak in Iran.

The indie flick is a social drama themed on the importance of family in urban spaces.

Azadeh’s mother is one of the most well-known Iranian actresses who has won the Certificate of Merit for Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the 20th Fajr International Film Festival for 'Low Heights'. 

Her film debut was 'Days of Anticipation' (1986).

She has appeared in many diverse and memorable roles and is known as a versatile actress.

The actress and her daughter played a memorable role in ifilm series ‘The Enigma of the Shah’ that recounts Iran’s contemporary history, beginning with the rule of Reza Shah Pahlavi and ending with the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
